About EAFONS 2022
The College of Nursing, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan is proud to host and to welcome you to join the 25th East Asia Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) Conference this 21-22 April 2022. The COVID-19 pandemic brings significant impacts worldwide. The global nursing societies have been working hard to overcome the situations in different practical areas, despite we are facing challenges and having uncertainties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to create an opportunity to have communication and exchange experiences among higher nursing education/research faculties in East Asia, even though travel is still not allowed due to the pandemic. This year, the conference will be held virtually, which could facilitate immediate communication and include more audiences with no border limitation.
The EAFONS Conference is conducted annually since 1997 and hosted by international nursing academic faculties including Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore. Through plenary speech, lecture learning and both podium and poster presentations, the participants can identify the international development of nursing scholars and research trends in nursing, furthermore, further international collaborations could be established by exchanging innovative ideas and knowledge.
The theme of this year is “Humanistic Technology: Preparing Doctoral Nursing Scholars and Leaders for Person-Centered Smart Care”. The major goal of the conference is to promote and contribute to significant achievements. By attending the virtual conference, we encourage and expect graduate nursing students to continue developing their nursing profession through different aspects including nursing practice, education, research, and also building up leadership in nursing in Asia.
